Burrows Motor Company engage Gaia Innovation to run their Search For A Star Apprenticeship Recruitment Programme 2017/2018

Burrows Toyota has re-engaged the services of Gaia Innovation to run its Search For A Star Apprenticeship Recruitment Programme, following last year’s successful programme.

The bespoke apprenticeship programme was created by Gaia Innovation to fit the Burrows corporate culture, corporate social responsibility and relationship marketing philosophy.

The Search For A Star Apprenticeship Recruitment Programme 2016/2017 saw 16 students recruited as new apprentices. The high quality of students participating in this programme led to a doubling of the original number from eight to 16. The 2017/2018 programme will build on the success of this cohort.

This academic year the programme will run as follows:

September – December 2017    Reach out to schools

January – February 2018          Dealership open evenings

April 2018                                     Employability Skills Training and Assessment days

July 2018                                      Work Placements

August 2018                                 Apprentice Job Offers

Gaia Innovation will lead the reach out and engagement with schools and students, design and execution of open evenings, design and running of the employability skills training days, and assist in the selection of the students chosen to proceed to the work placement weeks.

Adele Pinder, HR Manager at Burrows concludes: “The quality of student applicants who participated in our Search for a Star programme last year exceeded our expectations. I believe this was due to the robust nature of the programme that Gaia Innovation designed tailored to our objectives. That is why we have enlisted their help once again this year.
The Gaia team is friendly and welcoming, and are always available with any support, nothing is too much trouble. I would definitely recommend Gaia Innovation to other businesses, and I personally look forward to continuing working with the team in the future.”
